Timothy J. Murphy, MD, FACP

Timothy Murphy, MD graduated from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He entered the US Army during medical school and completed an internship/residency in Internal Medicine at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO. He then completed a Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. Positions within the US Army Medical Corps included Director of the Bone Marrow Transplant Service at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, and, most recently, served as Chief of the Hematology- Oncology Service at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany. For his academic pursuits and Army service he was recently selected as Fellow in the American College of Physicians. Dr. Murphy is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology.

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services and Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers (RMCC) have formed a partnership to collaborate and create a comprehensive oncology center for both inpatient and outpatient services. The essence of the partnership is that Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers will focus on medical oncology services and Penrose Cancer Center will focus on radiation oncology services.
